Privacy policy
MORE Youth is a UK Christian youth revival movement. This policy explains how we handle your personal data across our website, app, gatherings and communications. We are the data controller for the information you give us. Contact us any time at admin@moreyouth.org.
Account details (your name, email, and optionally a phone number and profile photo), anything you add to your profile, event RSVPs and check-ins, serving-rota assignments, and the community posts, prayer requests and messages you share on the platform. We also collect basic technical information needed to run the service securely.
To create and run your account, to organise gatherings (RSVPs, capacity, check-in), to coordinate serving teams, to power the community feed, prayer wall and messaging, and to send you emails about things you have chosen to receive (such as event reminders you've RSVP'd to).
Under UK GDPR we rely on: your consent (e.g. optional communications), our legitimate interests (running the community and keeping it safe), and, where relevant, performing a service you've asked for. You can withdraw consent at any time.
Donations and payments are processed securely by Stripe, our payment provider. Your card details are handled entirely by Stripe under their own PCI-compliant systems — we never see or store your card information.
We work with under-18s, and we take extra care with their data. Under UK GDPR, a young person aged 13 or over can set up their own account and consent to us processing their data; for anyone under 13 we ask that a parent or guardian gives consent and sets up the account with them. We collect as little as possible about young people, and we ask for a date of birth so we can apply age-appropriate protections automatically — for example, our platform prevents private one-to-one messaging between adults and under-18s. A parent or guardian can ask to see, correct, or delete their child's data, or withdraw consent, at any time — contact our Designated Safeguarding Lead or email admin@moreyouth.org. We encourage every young person to let a parent or guardian know they're involved with MORE Youth.
We work with children and young people. Please see our Safeguarding page for our full commitment and how to raise a concern. Leaders and volunteers who work with young people are recruited safely and DBS-checked where required, and content or messages may be reviewed by our Designated Safeguarding Lead where a concern is raised. Safeguarding records are kept securely and only for as long as needed, in line with our safeguarding policy.
Access to personal data is controlled by role: your contact details and date of birth are visible only to you, our staff, and a leader within your own team — not to the wider membership. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest by our providers, payments are handled entirely by Stripe, and we take daily off-site backups. We review who can see what as the movement grows.
Trusted service providers who help us run the platform: Supabase (secure database & hosting), Vercel (website hosting) and Resend (email delivery). Payments are processed by Stripe. Instagram content shown in the community feed is fetched via Behold. We never sell your data or share it for advertising.
We use only the essential cookies needed to keep you signed in and to run the site. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
Your account is kept until you ask us to delete it. Event and activity records are kept only as long as needed to run the movement. You can request deletion of your data at any time.
You can access, correct, export or delete your data, and withdraw consent at any time. Email admin@moreyouth.org and we'll respond within 30 days. If you're not satisfied, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
